The OnePlus 12, set for a January 23 launch in India alongside the OnePlus 12R, has caused a stir as Amazon India seemingly accidentally revealed the flagship’s price ahead of the official launch. Despite the swift removal of the pricing information by the e-commerce giant, eagle-eyed tipster Ishan Agarwal (@ishanagarwal24) managed to capture a screenshot, disclosing that the OnePlus 12 is expected to start at Rs. 69,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model.
Originally introduced in China in December of the previous year with a base price of CNY 4,299 (approximately Rs. 50,700) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage configuration, the OnePlus 12 is slated for a global unveiling at the ‘Smooth Beyond Belief’ event on January 23. The event will also witness the debut of the OnePlus 12R.
The Indian variant of the OnePlus 12 is anticipated to mirror the specifications of its Chinese counterpart, running on Android 14-based ColorOS 14. It features a 6.82-inch quad-HD+ (1,440 x 3,168 pixels) LTPO OLED screen with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. Under the hood, it boasts a 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC with up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM.
The device sports a Hasselblad-tuned triple rear camera setup and a 32-megapixel front camera. Storage-wise, it accommodates up to 1TB of UFS 4 inbuilt storage and houses a robust 5,400mAh battery supporting 100W SuperVOOC charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. The color options for the OnePlus 12 include Pale Green, Rock Black, and White.
As the ‘Smooth Beyond Belief’ event approaches, tech enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating further details and revelations about the OnePlus 12 series.
