September is approaching, and discussions about the highly anticipated iPhone 15 series are buzzing across the internet. Several recent leaks have emerged online, with one confirming that the iPhone 15 series will adopt the USB type-C cable. The upcoming iPhone 15 series is expected to consist of four models, just like the 14 series: iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. If Apple sticks to its usual schedule, these phones will be launched next month in September.
Before the potential launch, Twitter users @lipilipsi and @John011235 have shared images of charging ports that hint at a shift from the traditional lightning connector to the USB type-C charging slot for the iPhone. If these images hold true, iPhone users will no longer need to search for a specific “iPhone charger.” Nonetheless, we should temper our excitement because Apple has yet to confirm this development officially.
Adding to the anticipation, leaked images suggest that the upcoming iPhones will indeed feature USB type-C cables. Furthermore, another Twitter user, MajinBuOfficial, leaked images indicating that the iPhone 15 Pro Max variant will introduce a new “Action Button.”
The credibility of these rumors gains traction from Apple’s prior statement about adopting the USB Type-C cable for future iPhones to comply with European Union regulations. Although it was never explicitly stated that the iPhone 15 series would be the one to incorporate this change, there’s a growing belief in these speculations. Reportedly, the iPhone 15 series will include this feature, and only accessories certified under the Made for iPhone (MFi) program will offer complete functionality.
