The Nubia Z60 Ultra is set to make its debut in China soon, succeeding the Nubia Z50 Ultra, which was introduced in China in March. The predecessor featured a 16-megapixel under-display front camera, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, and a robust 5,000mAh battery supporting 80W charging. Recent online leaks have unveiled additional details about the upcoming device, and the company has officially announced the launch date for the Nubia Z60 Ultra.

Taking to Weibo, Nubia disclosed that the Nubia Z60 Ultra is scheduled for release in China on December 19 at 2 pm (11:30 am IST). Unfortunately, the company did not divulge further details about the device, except for confirming its support for the fifth-generation under-display camera technology. It is worth noting that its forerunner, the Nubia Z50 Ultra, also featured an under-display front camera.

Digital Chat Station, a reliable tipster, recently dropped a hint on Weibo, suggesting that the Nubia Z60 Ultra is set to boast an impressive camera setup. According to the post, the phone will feature two 50-megapixel sensors and a 64-megapixel sensor at the rear, equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS) for enhanced photo and video quality. In addition to the noteworthy camera specifications, the handset is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, ensuring top-notch performance.

The Nubia Z60 Ultra is also rumored to pack a robust 6,000mAh battery, providing ample power to keep up with the demands of modern smartphone usage. The smartphone is rumored to come with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and offer storage options of up to 1TB with UFS 4.0 technology, ensuring ample space for applications and multimedia content. Operating on Android 14-based MyOS, the device is expected to deliver a customized user experience.

The Nubia Z60 Ultra is speculated to support 80W wired fast charging, ensuring quick and convenient power replenishment. The camera setup is said to include a 64-megapixel OV64B periscope telephoto lens with up to 3x optical zoom, enhancing the device’s photography capabilities.

As for pricing, the Nubia Z50 Ultra, its predecessor, starts at CNY 3,999 (approximately Rs. 47,200) for the 8GB + 256GB configuration. The Nubia Z50 Ultra boasts a 6.8-inch full HD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, coupled with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

The Nubia Z50 Ultra’s camera setup includes a 16-megapixel under-display front camera and a triple rear camera array featuring a 64-megapixel Sony IMX787 primary sensor with OIS, a 64-megapixel periscope zoom camera, and another 50-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide lens.
